About Japanese poetry.

Do you like reciting poems? Which poets are your favourite? Have you ever written poetry? If not, whould you like to try to create haiku? Haiku is a very short form of Japanese poetry. It is typically characterised by three qualities.Modern Japanese haiku (現代俳句 ) are increasingly unlikely to follow the tradition of 17 on (syllables) or to take nature as their subject, but  the use of juxtaposition continues to be honored in both traditional and modern haiku.  The most common categories are: The Season / The Heavens/ The Earth/ Humanity/ Observances/ Animals/ Plants. In Japanese, haiku are traditionally printed in a single vertical line while haiku in English often appear in three lines to parallel the three phrases of Japanese haiku. Previously called hokku, haiku was given its current name by the Japanese writer Masaoka Shiki at the end of the 19th century.                                                You are invited to take part in Haiku contest !

Yes,I enjoy reciting poems. I love all poetry, but my favourite poets are A. S. Pushkin and M.I.Tsvtaeva. As for me, I have no expirience in writing poetry. But now I whould like to try to create haiku.

1) Oh, the summer moon!
I walked toward you,
But you are away.

О, летняя луна!
Я иду к тебе,
Но ты все далеко.

2) On a bare branch
Raven sitting lonely.
Autumn evening.

На голой ветке
Ворон сидит одиноко.
Осенний вечер.

3) Why does love go away
Anybody doesn’t know it
And nobody will know.

Уходит любовь.
Мы не знаем. зачем.
И не узнаем.

Yes, of course, I am keen on reciting poems. And I do it with the great pleasure. To be frank, I love all poetry. But my favourite poets are A. A. Blok, A. S. Pushkin and M. Y. Lermontov. What's about me, I have written some poetry. Not long ago I create some poems. And now I want to take part in Haiku contest and would like to try it...

1) Shadows are falling...
    Red sunset is amazing
    For away going.

2) Time flows for me fast.
Now I think about past, where
    I was not the last...

3) Back is dark and grey.
    But flowers are beautiful
    'Cause love is in air...

4) The birch seems naive.
    Its nature is beautiful
    In black and white stripes.
