Hello! My name is Nastya and I would like to tell you about some facts about celebrating New Year in our family.

I think that New Year is the main holiday which family must celebrate together. I feel that each person has to spend this night with parents. I am not an exception.
My aunt's  family and our family came to our Granny's house on 31 December. About 10 p.m. we usually usher out the Last year and congratulate each other . When the clock strikes 12 o'clock, we  fill our glasses with fizz and make wishes.
As far as I remember we have celebrated  New Year in this way for a long time . I must say that it has become a small tradition of our big family to gather together this holiday.
That's why I often associate New Year with kind and warm atmosphere , smack of sweets and roast chicken in the house.
I believe that our family's tradition will be long-lived and we can keep it for future generations because it unites us.

New year is exciting for me because It keeps something magic, new and mysterious.

No, I decorate an artificial  tree.We decorate the Christmas tree with toys, garlands and put a star on the top of it.Yes, my favourite toys are different models of cars.

New Year is my favourite holiday! I associate it with Ded Moroz , a Christmas tree and salute.
At first my family and I celebrate New Year in our flat and then in the street under volleys salutes.  There are no special traditions in our family. As all Russians we decorate a Christmas tree on New Year's Eve.

I associate New Year with bliss, a fir tree and shows.
We are going to cook a lot of food, decorate a New Year's tree, and prepare many presents.
We don't have very many traditions.We set fireworks, pull crackers.
My mum  and I often cook delicious cakes! :D

No doubt, New Year is my favourite holiday. I associate it with the New Year tree, Ded Moroz, tangerines and gifts.
My family usually decorates the New Year tree, mother prepares chicken, salads, New
Year baking. Our tradition is explodering fireworks and giving gifts to our friends.

I associate New Year with happiness, holiday bustle and magic. At New Year night my family eats  a special dinner and pull crackers. Traditionally I prepare some surprises for my family. Everybody is happy.

Why is New Year exciting for you?
