I can't but agree that television is a great achievement of our modern life. 
 It broadcasts entertaining, political, sport programmes and news. 
As for me, the TV does not play a big role in my life. I prefer the Internet to it because it is much easier and faster to get  information I need. In my free time, I almost do not watch TV, I try to walk more in the fresh air with my friends.
When I turn on TV, I am interested more inscientific programmes.
