| It is a burning question. People have significantly altered the atmosphere and their activity has the dominant influence on the environment. Nevertheless we are able to lessen our impact on the planet. Firstly we must protect soil, promote clean air and water. Secondly humans should raise money for environmental projects, which will allow preventing species’ extinction and banning ozone-eating substances. For example: we have the Okskiy preserve in our region. It sustains a population of aurochs which is under the threat of disappearance. More than that, our ecological organizations attract the dwellers for planting trees after summer fires. Besides humanity has to reduce population growth and consumption save energy and organize consumer boycotts. If we want a pleasant future, we must work hard. All good things are difficult to achieve and bad things are very easy to get.

| Nowadays, environmental problems are the most burning for the modern society.People cut down trees, destroy the habitats of thousands of animals and contaminate water in rivers and seas.These problems are so serious nowadays that they should be solved without delay.We must protect the atmosphere and soil,promote clean air and water, ban ozone-eating substances.All people should join efforts to such organization as Greenpeace. We can become clever enough to be able to maintain the rates of progress and keep the environment.

| Ecological problems are far more serious today, than ever before. The impact of leading ecological problems, for example, climate change or global warming is getting stronger. We have to do more than hope that these problems will simply go away after some time.
According to surveys, ecology is a thing that matters less than money and power. Our government proves this research: politics make ecologically-concsious decisions only before their election, when they are in need of votes.
Furthermore, people don't realise all the consequences of ecocatastrophe.
If we want to avoid environmental damage, we'll have to treat our motherland in another way.
We should make concrete actions and begin with small things: not to litter and organise campaigns for protecting atmosphere and soil.
It will be our first steps for saving energy and preventing animals extinction.
As for our region, we also have charity organisations, which arrange ecological demonstrations and promote clean air and water, but they are too small and unpopular, that most of the dwellers don't know of their existence.
If present trends continue for next several decades, our planet will become uninhabitant. People should think of next generations, and make the world better for them. Because future is not a gift, it is an achievement.

| With the development of civilization man’s interference in nature has increased.One of the most important pollution problems is the oceans. Many ships sail in the ocean water. If a ship loses some of the oil in the water, it becomes dirty. Many sea birds die because of the polluted water.
Another important problem is air pollution. Cars and factories pollute the air we use. Their fume also destroys the ozone layer which protects the Earth from the dangerous light of the Sun.
A person is doing some damage to the environment but the greater part of pollution certainly comes from industry. Modern industry production is the main threat to the nature. There are a lot of places on our planet that need immediate help. Our country is not an exception. The nuclear accident at Chernoby, has seriously aggravated the ecological situation in Belarus. That catastrophe can be considered as the largest disaster of the 20th century.
The activity of many public organizations is directed to protect the environment. One of the most known organization is “Greenpeace” which purpose is prevention of environment degradation. We all can join this organisation and help to save the Earth.
If we don’t realize that we are all responsible for what’s happening around us we will never feel secure about the future of the world we live in. What can be done to protect nature? We should open more national parks, plant more new forests, cut pollution.
Governments must be prepared to take actions against the pollution. Air pollution could be reduced if plants and factories were made to fit effective filters on chimneys and car exhausts. Green zones around big cities must be protected and extended. Natural resources should be used economically because their stocks are not unlimited.
There are many technological devices which accelerate human development, though they alter the atmosphere. Emmisions of carbon dioxide contribute to the global warming. We should maintain the rate of progress and stop contributing to the global warming, protect the atmosphere and soil. We all can join efforts and do concrete actions. For example raise money for environmental projects, save energy, organise consumer boycotts.

| It`s known that environmental problems are the most important nowaday because of technological progress.Industry development influences badly the environment for example formation of ozone-eating substances or oil spills in the oceans.
There are many ways to less our impact on the planet.We can reduce population growth and consumption (as the Chinese government), we can promote clean air and water, organise campaigns for protecting animals and nature, we can donate money for ecological projects...
In the area where I live a public organization "Ryazan Environmental Alliance" (REA)has appeared recently . The ERA has already achieved significant results.They planted seeds for restoring burnt forests , organised cleaning poluted areas and held different social events.
"The future is not a gift - it is an achievement" - It's absolutely true because we'll achieve our future only through hard work, we deffended our motherland in different wars, we developed our medicine to defeat the diseases...

| In modern society the question of the environmental protection is especially important. The poisoning of the world's land, air, and water is the fastest-spreading disease of our civilisation. It is potentially one of the greatest dangers to human life on the earth. If present trends continue for the next several decades, our planet will become uninhabitable. People must begin to realise that the environmental problems are not somebody else's. We are part of the nature, so we need to take care of the environment. Firstly we can reduce population growth and consuption and raise money for enviromental projects. Secondly its important to save energy and promote clean air and water. Also we must stop contributing to global warming and do concrete actions. People have already joined and supported various international organisations and green parties. Scientists develop new ways to preserve natural resources.

| Human activity has such a great influence on the planet's ecology that it is no longer possible to separate people from nature. What have we done?For all that we've built tumbles. What about our children?In theatres and video games they watch what we send to ruin. We can lose the dearest. Our home!
So, there are many ways how we can lessen our impact on the planet. Now government tries to make ecologically-conscious decisions to avoid environmental damage. It saves energy, protects the atmosphere and soil, reduces consumption, promotes clean air and water. In our town, for example, species extinction is also prevented. There is a reservation where people care about such animals as aurochs. Also sometimes people organise"subbotniks", when residents of the city clean streets.
But I think it is not enough. People should do concrete actions everywhere. We should join efforts, organize campaigns and consumer boycotts, stop contributing global warming , ban ozone-eating substances or raise money for environmental projects.We should make a difference for our home!
I think this is everybody's concern!
