The site of an ancient settlement (the area of 48 hectares) is on the right high steep coast of the river Oka, not far from modern city. It's the most puzzling architectural monument of the XII-XIII CC. There are the remnants of the former capital of Spassk-Ryazansky of the Ryazan Principality.
